Today's GrokIt:
Welcome to another year of GrokIt!GrokIt originally appeared 9 years ago. While teaching at RHS, I conceived it as the digital equivalent of the Do Now or activator you may be used to other teachers giving to you to start the class.
Interestingly enough, I believe the blog has taken up a much more important role in my classes.
I envision using GrokIt as a hi-tech portal to get you and your energies focused on the class topics of the day by hyperlinking around the net to:
•discover state-of the-art technologies
•bump into some engaging topic
•just enjoy a fun and interesting website.
My hope is to try to kindle a spark of interest in computers and technology.
After all, the World Wide Web and everything in it was created by software developers, computer programmers, web designers, all kinds of techie people of which you are the next generation.
I also want to create a class community, a public forum from which you could express your opinions and see the opinions of others about these topics.
So here's today's GrokIt.
One of my favorite sites is Wired. Check it out @

I read "if you have covid, exersice might not be good for you" and i found out that scientists think of Covid-19 as a respiratory disease but it’s not just about the lung but the stability in the body
"Feds Charge Chinese Hackers With Ripping Off Video Game Loot From 9 Companies" A Hacker Group under the name Barium attacked hundreds of people around the world using popular methods such as ransomware or cryptojacking malware.
In the article "Hey Students! Here's How to Deal With School in a Pandemic" i read that not only students go through a hard time dealing with school during a pandemic but teachers too. I think remote learning could be difficult because some students may not have access to the internet so how would they do their work and also there's time when teachers may have trouble using technology. Some students prefer doing in person than remote learning because now it's more difficult to stay concentrated during remote learning.
i read Hong Kong Is a Troubling Case Study in the Death of Democracy and i learned a lot of people voted in hong kong then a bunch of people trotested.
This by far one of my favorite websites. Lot's of cool articles about technology and how it affects our real life.
