You've been selected to take part in one of the greatest courses you'll ever have in high school: Computer Science. This year, we'll be exploring how to code using Java, a sophisticated, text-based programming language that is a mainstay in the coding community. We'll also be using a number of websites and apps to get you up and running.

You may remember GrokIt if you've taken anything with me before. GrokIt is where you begin every cass by reading a short article or viewing a brief video and leaving a comment. his year, they'll also be an instruction on what we're doing in class that day. 1

Slack

Slack is a website where we can converse. It's almost like a chat or even texting. I'll be sending you an invite to join up. If you have any questions you can post them up here. 

CSAwesome

CSAwesome will be our coding platform for the year. I'll assign labs and exercises from here. I've already enrolled each of you. Your login is SCyourstudentnumber i.e SC12345 and your password is PWyourstudentnumnber.

We'll be having some zoom meetings but not all of our class time will be spent on Zoom.
