In the article about Facebook, there is an interesting quote:

At the same time, they're indignant, believing they've created a beautiful, seamless technology that does more good than harm, and that Facebook engineers aren't responsible for human nature.

what I think the author means is that Facebook does not want to take responsibility for how their product is being used. It's almost like they're saying, Facebook isn't bad, it's the people who use it!

the robot dog would be pretty cool to own i guess but whats better a real life animal or a fake one that makes you look like your crazy talking to something that isn't real but i would get one just to see how it works.. definitely would rather own a real dog

Idk about owning a robotic dog, a real dog is more cuddly. Also, the robot dog probably sends information of yours to places, and listens to your conversations. Facebook sucks.
