Even though computers have been controlling mechanisms for a very long time, like the autopilot on a plane, and the stock market buy/sell programs, is it a good idea for us to rely increasingly more on these machines?

And if they screw up should we put robots on trial?

Yes, I believe that the computerization of the many things we do, especially the mundane ones, would give us more time to do what we should be or need to be doing. Wouldn't it be cool to read the entire New York Times on the ride home after a long day of work rather than driving white-knuckled in traffic the whole way?

And if we have an accident, more than likely, it would be the fault of the human driving the other car.

I personally, don't think we should rely on computers. It's a terrible idea. And i wouldn't trust it!
