Yesterday, many sites like Google and Wikipedia were blacked out or had black tags.
Why?
Because they were protesting laws that could affect the Internet.

these people aare trying to put laws on everything the internet has always been fine who the hell do they think they are to take that away im pissed!!!!!!
SOPA and PIPA sound like laws that could make it the responsibility of US sites to "police" for illegal content which could be enormously expensive and may even cause a lot to switch to "for pay" versions of their websites. No more Internet access to content for free.
