Yes, programming is a great way to get rich. Starting pay, 77-80 grand a year isn't bad. But as the coder in the video said, if you want to get really rich, you'd use programming as a springboard into entrepreneurship, becoming an author writing about programming, or even a trainer, putting together courses that teach someone how to code using different languages, tools or platforms. Or to even become a cosi teacher in a high school (not!)
