We're in the middle of the digital revolution?

But what does the word digital mean? Look it up @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital

The information revolution is based on one idea: that all information -- numbers, text, sound, pictures, and videos -- can be translated into a string of 1's and 0's. Of course, in some cases, it takes a LOT of 1's and 0's.

  1. A digital system uses discrete (discontinuous) values, usually but not always symbolized numerically (hence called "digital") to represent information for input, processing, transmission, storage, etc.
