0223WarmUp

Welcome back from vacation!

Today, the warmup involves simulations.

What is a simulation? Check it out @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simulation.

How is a computer simulation different?

View some examples of computer simulation @ http://www.falstad.com/mathphysics.html.

Keep in mind that each of these simulations were were designed and developed by a computer programmer!

  2. Simulation is the imitation of some real thing, state of affairs, or process. The act of simulating something generally entails representing certain key characteristics or behaviors of a selected physical or abstract system.
